The most insidious enemy

It is worse than the war even if it kills fewer.

Because in a war the lines are drawn clearly. The neighbors you never suspected can turn against you. But not your parents, not your brothers or sisters, children or spouse.

Here it will go after those who love other people.

It will kill those who want to be friends, help others or enjoy their company.

It will leave you in peace only if you can separate yourself from the world, and have sufficient self-control and coldness never to emerge from that solitary icy-cold existence.

Its “objective” is to destroy society.

Its “objective” is to have you be killed by people who would die to keep you alive.
